  If they just had more people doing check out, it would earn another star. As is, it's never that crowded and it has just about everything you'd want which is appreciative

  I have been going here once or twice a week for two years because it's closest walkable grocery store. This Safeway has affordable groceries but lacks clear organization and, for the most part, has a not-so-friendly staff. Some items don't even have price tags, some produce is often nearing or past its shelf life. It's quite obvious that majority of the people hate working there and have low morale which, consistently and without fail, translates into rather poor customer service. I have had people talking on the phone or with their friends while trying to check out. Of course there are always a few good ones, but they don't stay long.
