  They had some delicious hard ciders, a number of which were quite dry -- these are harder to find in general but are much better than their sugary counterparts, in my opinion. The dry pear cider in particular was great. The wines were pretty good for being MD wines. Very friendly tasting room staff, though they didn't seem to know their way around wine very well in general. NB: the tasting room is inside the Heyser Farms market.

  This location is tucked away off the road, but boasts wonderful varieties of ciders and wines! I personally recommend the Riptide! Great Shoals also has numerous other produce/snacks available within their market!

  We tasted from both the traditional wine list and the fruit wine/cider list. Each tasting was good, even for the wine types I don't prefer. The experience was wonderful and the staff were great. You can also bring meat, cheese, and cracker snacks to enjoy with your tasting. They have some unique flavors of wine that are wonderful. I highly recommend stopping by for a tasting.
